Valparaiso Tour & Viña del Mar - Itinerary

Full Day

We begin our journey departing from your hotel in Santiago in the morning. Traveling along Route 68 towards the Pacific Coast, we pass through scenic countryside landscapes and the renowned Casablanca Valley, famous for its vineyards.

Our first destination is Valparaíso, a vibrant port city declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Known for its colorful hillside neighborhoods and artistic spirit, we’ll explore historic landmarks like Plaza Echaurren, the old financial district, and the charming Concepción and Alegre Hills, home to local artisans, painters, and vibrant murals. We’ll ascend the hills using Valparaíso’s traditional funiculars, offering panoramic views of the bay and city rooftops.

An optional visit to La Sebastiana, the eclectic hilltop home of Nobel Prize-winning poet Pablo Neruda, adds a cultural touch to the morning (please note the museum is closed on Mondays).

After immersing in the bohemian soul of Valparaíso, we head to the elegant resort city of Viña del Mar. Nicknamed “The Garden City,” Viña offers manicured parks, wide beaches, and historic architecture. We’ll pass highlights such as the Flower Clock, Palacio Rioja, and the charming coastal promenade. If the weather is favorable, you’ll have time to enjoy a stroll on the beach or simply relax with ocean views.

Midday, there’s time for lunch at a local restaurant (not included), where you can enjoy fresh seafood or traditional Chilean cuisine.

In the late afternoon, we return to Santiago, arriving back at your hotel with a deeper appreciation for the culture, contrast, and beauty of Chile’s central coast.
