Easter Island Tour 4D/3N Itinerary

Day 1Arrival at Easter Island Airport

Your journey begins as you land at Mataveri Airport, where a warm welcome awaits with a traditional flower necklace. You’ll be transferred to your hotel to settle in and begin absorbing the unique charm of Easter Island. The rest of the day is free for you to explore the town of Hanga Roa, mingle with locals, or relax and admire the Pacific views. Overnight stay in Easter Island.

Note: Depending on flight arrival time, the Orongo tour may be rescheduled to Day 1 afternoon.

Day 2Isla de Pascua - Full-Day Anakena Tour with Box Lunch

After breakfast at the hotel, set out to discover the island’s southeastern and northeastern coasts. Begin with Ahu Akahanga, the ruins of an ancient Rapa Nui village featuring toppled moai statues. Then continue to Rano Raraku, the legendary quarry where nearly all moai were carved. This volcanic site displays hundreds of statues, some still embedded in the rock or standing partially buried.

After a scenic picnic lunch at the base of the volcano, head to Ahu Tongariki, the largest ceremonial platform on the island, where 15 moai stand in majestic formation. From there, visit Ahu Te Pito Kura, home to the largest moai ever transported and the sacred “Ombligo del Mundo” (Navel of the World).

Wrap up your adventure at Anakena Beach, a pristine stretch of white sand framed by palm trees and turquoise waters. Here you’ll also find Ahu Nau Nau, one of the best-preserved ahu platforms on the island. Enjoy some downtime by the sea before heading back to your hotel.

Day 3Isla de Pascua - Orongo & Ahu Akivi Tour

Start your morning with breakfast and prepare to explore the cultural and spiritual roots of Rapa Nui. Visit Ana Kai Tangata Cave, decorated with ancient paintings of the sacred Manutara bird. Continue to Vinapu, where the basalt stonework astonishingly resembles Inca architecture.

Climb up to Rano Kau Volcano, one of the most breathtaking viewpoints on the island. Inside its crater lies a freshwater lake surrounded by floating islets of totora reeds. Nearby, explore Orongo Ceremonial Village, once the center of the Birdman cult and home to dozens of engraved petroglyphs.

In the afternoon, head to Ahu Akivi, the only platform where moai face the ocean, symbolizing the legendary seven explorers sent by King Hotu Matu’a. The tour concludes with visits to Uri a Urenga, a solar observatory, and Puna Pau, the red scoria quarry where the moai’s topknots or “pukaos” were made.

Return to your hotel to relax after a deeply cultural and spiritual day.

Day 4Isla de Pascua - Farewell to Easter Island

Enjoy a final breakfast at your hotel before your transfer to Mataveri Airport for your return flight. Leave the island with unforgettable memories, stories of ancient civilizations, and stunning photos of one of the world’s most mysterious and beautiful destinations.
