Your adventure begins with a comfortable hotel pickup in the districts of Miraflores, Barranco, San Isidro, or nearby areas. You’ll be greeted by a professional local guide and transported in a safe, air-conditioned vehicle. From the very first moment, this full-day journey immerses you in Lima’s history, vibrant culture, and stunning landscapes.
We begin by visiting the Historic Center of Lima, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where the colonial charm of the capital comes to life. We’ll first stop at San Martin Square, a beautiful plaza framed by grand buildings with elegant European-style facades. From there, we’ll head to the Main Square (Plaza Mayor) — the heart of the city — to admire landmarks such as the Government Palace, the Cathedral of Lima, and the Archbishop’s Palace. As we walk through the historic streets, your guide will share fascinating insights into Lima’s colonial past. A highlight of this visit is the San Francisco Monastery and its eerie catacombs, which offer a glimpse into Peru’s colonial-era burial practices and spiritual traditions. After exploring the historical center, you’ll enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant, where you’ll savor authentic Peruvian cuisine.

After lunch, we’ll head toward Miraflores, one of Lima’s most modern and iconic districts. The tour continues at the romantic Love Park (Parque del Amor), perched above the cliffs with breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean. Here, you’ll admire the famous sculpture “El Beso” (The Kiss) by Peruvian artist Victor Delfín, as well as colorful mosaics and beautiful gardens. We’ll then stroll through Kennedy Park, the lively heart of Miraflores, known for its vibrant atmosphere, street artists, and friendly cats that have become a symbol of the park.

Our journey continues to the Chorrillos district, where we’ll ascend to Morro Solar, a scenic overlook that provides a panoramic view of the city and ocean. This hill holds deep historical importance, as it was a strategic point during the War of the Pacific. Your guide will share stories of Peru’s fight for independence and the key role this site played in the country’s past, all while you take in one of the most spectacular views in Lima.
Next, we’ll explore Barranco, Lima’s bohemian and artistic district. Our visit begins at Barranco Square, surrounded by charming colonial buildings and bustling cafés. We’ll then walk to the famous Bridge of Sighs (Puente de los Suspiros) — a romantic wooden bridge steeped in local legend. If you can hold your breath while crossing the bridge, tradition says your wish will come true. The walk through Barranco also offers the chance to admire vivid street art murals, reflecting the district’s rich artistic spirit and cultural identity.

To complete this full experience, we’ll visit a traditional local market in Surquillo. This colorful and authentic stop reveals the essence of Peruvian culinary culture. As you walk through the market, your guide will introduce you to native fruits, vegetables, herbs, grains, meats, and seafood — the building blocks of Peru’s world-famous gastronomy. This is an excellent opportunity to learn about the ingredients that make Peruvian food so diverse and flavorful, and to witness how locals shop and cook in their daily lives.
The tour concludes with a smooth ride back to your hotel, leaving you with unforgettable memories and a deeper appreciation of Lima’s heritage, cuisine, art, and people.
