The day begins at 7:00 AM at Café del Mundo, where you will meet your guides and adventure companions. You will enjoy an included breakfast while you learn about the day’s plan. At 7:45 AM, you will board the private transportation that will take you on a 45-minute trip to La Cumbre (4,760 meters above sea level), the highest point of the route and the beginning of your adventure.
At La Cumbre you will receive your Kona double suspension bicycle, along with the protective equipment: helmet, gloves, jacket and windproof pants. After a safety briefing and adaptation to the equipment, you will begin the descent along a 22 km paved stretch. This part allows you to adapt to the terrain and enjoy impressive mountain views.

During this section you will pass through a police checkpoint, where you will have to pay a tax of Bs. 50 in total, destined for the maintenance of the route and public bathrooms.
At the end of the paved section, you will reach the real challenge: the Highway of Death, a 44 km road of dirt, stones and sharp curves, which descends abruptly between ravines and dense jungle. With the constant accompaniment of the support bus and expert guides, you will travel this iconic path that combines adrenaline, history and dream landscapes.
The descent ends in Yolosa (1,100 m), where you will celebrate your achievement with a cold beer and a delicious lunch at the La Senda Verde animal shelter, an ecological sanctuary that protects animals rescued from illegal trafficking. Here you can shower (towels, soap and shampoo are included), change clothes and enjoy the natural environment.

If you wish, you can join the optional tour inside the refuge to learn more about its inhabitants (Andean bears, monkeys, exotic birds and more), with an additional cost of Bs. 80.
Finally, around 5:30 – 6:00 PM, you will board the bus back to La Paz, arriving between 8:00 and 9:30 PM, with an unforgettable story to tell.
