Pachacamac Pyramids + Lunch + City of Kings Tour

The historical center with its big impressive palaces, cathedrals and underground Catacombs take center stage as you learn about pre Columbian Lima and Spanish Colonial rule. Prepare for a trip to pre Columbian Lima with a visit to the ruins of Pachacamac, the panorama is surreal as you will see massive pre Columbian constructions, long wide Inca trails and Giants Pyramids, we will take you to the top of the of the main Pyramid Called “The Sun Temple” for a panoramic view of the complex as well as the Pacific Ocean.
Pachacamac; was a very important oracle in the pre Columbian era, the name in the ancient tongue means “Hearth’s Creator”. The Native people from the surrounding region wanted to come to Pachacamac to visit and say thank you to the creator. Pachacamac was also a place of Human sacrifices and payments to the mother Earth; natives celebrated large festivities in honor to the gods.
City of Kings Tour:
After Lunch we take you on a fascinating city tour in our historical center. Together with our expert local guide we will take you to the old colonial part of the capital where we will show you the Palaces and haciendas of Lima’s colonial era, we will also visit the historical San Francisco Convent and Monastery and the impressive underground Catacombs!.
We will also visit the most important square in the whole country; “The Plaza de Armas”. Other great places you will visit are: Parque de la Muralla, The Old Train Station, the uniquely old fashioned “Cordano Bar”, Jiron del Union street, Post Office Palace, Dominicans tower, Historical Rimac Bridge and lovely surrounded wooden Balconies and the most recent big city project, the underground metro that was built under the Rimac River.
