Arriving at the entrance your private guide will begin his detailed tour of the site which will last approximately 2 hours, here you will appreciate the ruins as the story of its abandonment and rediscovery help bring the citadel to life.
After the two hour tour of the ruins you have free time to take pictures and explore the ruins further before descending to Aguas Calientes to check in at your hotel, afterwards you have time for Lunch (not included) and shopping or you could take a dip in the hot springs to rest your body from the days hike.

I took the 2-day Machu Picchu tour, and it was a game-changer. The extended time allowed me to connect with the place, beyond just taking photos. Our guide, Andres, was passionate and knowledgeable, making history come alive. The night in Aguas Calientes was a different experience, with its vibrant market and hot springs. A big thanks to Karikuy Tours for curating this experience!
I’ve always believed in taking things slow, and the 2-day Machu Picchu tour was perfect for that. Day one was about exploration, and our guide, Pedro, was a fountain of knowledge. The second day, watching the sunrise over the ruins, was spiritual. The stay in Aguas Calientes added a touch of comfort. Thanks, Karikuy Tours, for this immersive experience!
Two days exploring Machu Picchu felt like a dream. The first day, with fewer tourists around, was serene. I had time to soak in the beauty and even meditate. Our guide, Renato, was a great. The overnight stay in Aguas Calientes was cozy, and the hot springs were a treat. Karikuy Tours, thank you for a great trip.
Two days at Machu Picchu felt just right. We explored, relaxed, and even had some ‘us’ time. Our guide, Rosa, was insightful, sharing tidbits that aren’t in the guidebooks. The evening in Aguas Calientes was lively, with great food and music. Karikuy Tours was great at planning everything, thank you.
Our 2-day tour of Machu Picchu was the highlight of our Peru trip. The staggered visit allowed us to see the site in different lights. Our guide, Elena, was a gem, diving deep into the history and answering our endless questions. The evening in Aguas Calientes was delightful, with local music and food. A big shout-out to Karikuy Tours for this well-planned adventure.
