The Rafting and ZipLine in Chuquicahuana adventure begins at 8:00 AM with pick-up from your hotel in Cusco. After meeting your group, we depart in shared transportation toward the beautiful valley of Chuquicahuana, located southeast of Cusco. The drive takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, passing through scenic Andean landscapes and rural villages.
At around 9:45 AM, we arrive at the rafting base, where our professional adventure guides welcome you and provide a comprehensive safety briefing. During this orientation, guides explain rafting techniques, paddling commands, safety rules, and what to expect on the river. You’ll then be equipped with all necessary safety gear, including a neoprene wetsuit, life jacket, and helmet.

By 10:30 AM, the adventure begins as we head to the Urubamba River, navigating the Combapata–Chuquicahuana section, known for its exciting Class II and III rapids. This section is ideal for both beginners and experienced rafters, offering a fun yet safe challenge surrounded by dramatic canyon walls and lush Andean scenery.
The rafting experience lasts approximately 2 hours, during which you’ll work as a team to paddle through rapids, enjoy calmer stretches of river, and take in the natural beauty of the valley. Along the way, your guides ensure safety while keeping the experience dynamic and enjoyable.
After completing the rafting portion, the adrenaline continues with the zipline experience. You’ll cross the Urubamba River on two zipline cables, suspended about 15 meters (49 feet) above the water. The first cable measures 100 meters, followed by a second, longer cable of 150 meters, giving you a thrilling aerial view of the river and surrounding landscape.

Once the adventure activities conclude, we return to the base camp at approximately 1:30 PM, where a well-deserved lunch awaits. This is the perfect time to relax, share experiences with fellow travelers, and recharge after an action-packed morning.
At 3:30 PM, we begin our return journey to Cusco. The drive back offers a final chance to enjoy the Andean countryside before arriving in the city at approximately 5:00 PM. Drop-off is provided at Regocijo Square, conveniently located near Cusco’s historic center.
