Your unforgettable journey begins with pickup from the Uyuni airport or bus station. Upon arrival, you’ll meet your local guide who will accompany you throughout the day.
Our first stop takes us to the iconic Train Cemetery, a hauntingly beautiful site just outside Uyuni. This area features rusting locomotives from the early 20th century—remnants of Bolivia’s once-thriving railway industry. These steel giants now rest in the desert and serve as a unique and photogenic backdrop for travelers and history lovers alike.
We continue to the small village of Colchani, located at the edge of the salt flats. Here, you’ll visit a traditional salt processing plant, where local families still extract and refine salt by hand. Learn about the techniques used for generations, and explore handcrafted salt souvenirs—perfect mementos of your trip.

Now begins the true adventure: we enter the world’s largest salt flat, the Salar de Uyuni. As we drive across the vast, blinding-white surface, you’ll be immersed in one of Earth’s most surreal and mesmerizing landscapes. Around midday, we stop to enjoy a picnic-style lunch right in the middle of the salt flats—an experience like no other.
Next, we arrive at Incahuasi Island, a rocky oasis covered in giant cacti, some over 1,200 years old. You’ll have time to explore the island on foot, hiking to a viewpoint that offers 360° panoramic views over the endless sea of salt. It’s one of the most iconic spots for photographs and quiet reflection.

We then continue towards Coquesa, a small village near the base of the Tunupa Volcano, rich in cultural and natural heritage. As the day comes to an end, we find the perfect spot to witness a breathtaking sunset over the salt flats—a truly magical moment where the sky and ground seem to merge in a mirror of colors.
After the sunset, we head back to Uyuni, where your tour ends. You’ll be dropped off at your hotel, the airport, or the bus station, depending on your travel plans.
