Puerto Maldonado Tours

The Jungles of Puerto Maldonado are some of the most beautiful on Earth. But when is the best time to visit and which lodge should I pick? We recommend the following for an incredible experience.

The best time of year to visit Puerto Maldonado is from May to September as this is the dry season. It’s already normally hot and humid in the Jungle. To enjoy the Jungle Hikes and have better accessibility to different parts of the Jungle it’s best to travel during the dry season

You will find that each lodge visits a lot of the same places in the area, so why do prices vary? This is due to the lodges proximities to Puerto Maldonado. The lodges that are further out require more travel time by boat, they can be more expensive but also give you a better chance at observing rare wildlife.

There is so much wildlife in the Amazon, we recommend you pick up a good pair of binoculars to spot all the different kind of birds, insects, monkeys and more!
